Mr. Brooks Very Scary in a Way

Mr. Brooks Very Scary in a Way

Mr. Brooks, I wanted to see it to see Kevin Costner playing a serial killer. I thought maybe something would be brought out about them.

It was kind of scary from the beginning. He has a little evil guy guide who sits in the back of his car etc. Kevin Costner is doing him like a cold person. It was not entirely that from him. It was scarier than I thought it would be. John Hurt plays the evil guy kind of low key and bland which makes it very annoying to me anyway. Costner does have it down with doing the serial killer but it slips sometimes. He's not the perfect actor.

I notice some other reviews are saying the alter ego thing is telling him what to do but I don't think that is the case. That is an excuse if anything, even if the writer/director thinks so. That doesn't happen in that case at least I wouldn't say that. And he was going around as if he was sane otherwise. He also states himself that he wanted to kill again I'm pretty sure. It was taking him into another sort of reality.

The crime scene and him having posed them in the nude was very unsettling. Even might be too intriguing to some. There was no bloody violence hardly in what I saw, not until the end. This also gives a sense of unreality.

Demi Moore was good as a surprise as one said. Her answer to why she was a cop was not good. The guy who was a serial killer groupie was boring at first and then you thing that's just how one/they act if he was doing method acting.

After a while this got a little boring, and wearing with his family and all and what he would have for breakfast. When he laughed with the little guy in the back it could give you a jump. I thought he should be ashamed of himself. And there he was and talking and worrying about his family as if nothing was wrong.

I had to see the end and then it ended without much happening or finality. He had phone contact with the detective Demi Moore. I can see why people would rate it lower or higher there are different reasons. I notice there is a wide range of opinions. Some of them expect a lot from the movie that isn't there making it. It is after all just a movie, or is it?

What I was going to say on this was that it is sad that this guy was killing and as was written he saw them dancing the couple being seductive, I didn't see that part for some reason, so that he could be in touch with this of the couple and sex and by killing them have a type of permanent contact. He does not seem to have been fulfilled by his stupid wife there. I would think he was doing it for attention and then no one would ever know. He would know and could remember that.

Also that his daughter seems to have killed too seems interesting in that the heredity would be passed on.

I used to listen to the FBI profiler guy on the radio and they see things but I don't think they really know what it is.

The director wrote it I think which tells you something if you're familiar with them. There was something going on there an agenda. Or else it was just to get the people to watch the movie as happens.
