Imagine this:

It’s five a.m. and your alarm goes off. You get dressed, get your luggage ready, have breakfast and open the front door. You see a silver minivan waiting and you hop in along with the rest of your family. You’re sitting in the back with your ear buds and eye mask. You wake up on and off and three hours later you’re crossing the boarder of Oregon and California. You’re now officially in California, you start seeing cows and horses all over the place. You see breathtaking sites of mountains with snow on top, as well as plants and vegetables of all sorts.

You stop every few hours for rest, food, and of course the usual bathroom emergencies. You walk around in the beautiful rest areas with the sprinklers all around. Then the extreme sun that has come into the scene causes you to throw your jacket off and gives you a sudden urge to get wet. So you jump in on the sprinklers and you’re wet -cloth and all-within seconds. You try to air dry in the sun, while everyone impatiently waits for you so that the car doesn’t get messy.

You’re back on the road and after about 14 hours of driving the family makes a final stop. They take this time to freshen up and change into something that isn’t wrinkled up from sitting down for 14 hours. You arrive at your first stop late in the evening, crash with friends over night and move on to your next destination in the morning. You crash with friends a couple of times before you move on to your intended destination. Keep imagining...

Your intended destination is Disneyland! No matter what age you are, this is an exciting place. You head to your hotel, throw your luggage in there, get something to eat and walk up to Disneyland resort. Yes, you are lucky enough to have a hotel room that’s within walking distance to the resort. You start the adventure by meeting the Disney characters, then you get on some rides, join the parade, go back to your hotel for a break in the afternoon (of course, you won’t forget your hand stamp, you need it to get back in), then you keep on going until midnight. That’s when the real fun starts. The rides are definitely awesome and the parades are as great, but the midnight firework is literally breathtaking!

You repeat this cycle the next day, then the third day you will go to California adventure, which is right next to the resort. Get on the rides; the really scary rides, not just the sissy ones, buy souvenirs, walk around and see the beach within, and don’t forget “it’s a bugs life” and the “petting zoo.” You will regret missing any part of this place, so don’t worry about the lines, you’re going to be there all day anyways. However, you can opt for the fast pass, which allows you to get on line ahead of everyone. Don’t forget the California Screamin’ because that ride is a M-U-S-T! It is not as scary as it looks at first glance. Keep on imagining…

After you're done with LA you will be heading off to your second hotel room, which is located in San Diego. There you will enter Seaworld, where you will see astonishing shows. There is the killer whale show, the dolphin show; the pets rule show, and much more.

©
Once you’re done with Seaworld, you can head off to the world famous San Diego Zoo. You can take the tour ride which will last about 45 minutes. This ride is definitely worth the 45 minutes because it will show you where all the animals are located. Not only that, but you will be given information about the zoo and some of the animals.

Your next stop is another hotel room in LA, where you will go in and freshen up and then head to Universal Studios Hollywood. There you will find the Mummy ride, Jurassic park ride, the Simpson’s ride, and much more. All of these are seriously a MUST. You can then take a bus tour of the Hollywood world. There you will be shown houses that are seen on famous T.V. shows, stages where shows are recorded, you will even enter one of the stages and experience... Okay, I'll stop here; I don’t want you to imagine too much. I would rather you experience this just as I did last summer with my family.
