My experience of home business
posted March 15, 2008 - 3:54pmI decided to become a private contractor and began to work with internet companies. I thought that the best way was to buy a tutorial program and to work after training. But, there is a problem with today's Internet shopping, because it's easy for online companies to get away with frauds, scams and misleading information. When you purchase a product or service from a non-web-based vendor, if something actually goes wrong, you have many government sources to whom to report to get problems resolved. But when you make online shopping, you meet with the lack of government control.
That is why I had to research several companies to find the best options possible. I took into consideration price, customer service and support, and whether or not the product or service is exactly what the company promises.
I researched the so-called free programs and I understood that there is no such thing. Sign up was free, but once I started to access the programs there were a lot of hidden costs.
I decided that the best for me is Work-From-Home Data-Entry Jobs.
So, I bought 4 products from different companies to eliminate any hidden costs, make sure the company is not a fraud, and that they are not scamming the public. I also took into consideration that I had no experience and I needed the program with complete detailed instructions during the training and the support during the work on the program.
The first program was Mint Jobs (www.mintjobs.com). The price of the program is $49.90. It is an average price for the data entry programs. The advertisement about this product told me that this program is designed with everyone in mind, and after I pay my membership fee I do not have to spend any more money and as an added bonus I shall get a fully functional money making website absolutely free!
The work should consist of simply pick one or more of the 10, 000 companies and then following the instructions from each company; fill out online forms on Google, Yahoo and other PPC companies. I should have payment on account from Google and Yahoo also.
First of all I did not understand why the tutorial of this program began with the proposition of building website, but I agreed with this proposition. In a couple of seconds I understood that I should pay additional costs for the Domain Name and Hosting.
Then I tried to work on this program. There was a complete step-by-step tutorial how to create Google and Yahoo accounts. Filling out online forms for the companies was the simple part of the program. But there was another part of the program. I could not successfully work on this program without Wordtracker and Keywordsanalyzer. And subscriptions to this programs cost additional money.
More than that, I should pay for the clicks to Google and Yahoo and my advance from these companies disappeared very quickly.
There are free tools and free classified sites but I was not satisfied with them.
I was not interested also with the surveys and paid emails from this program because of the low payment for them.
So, I decided to try another program. I thought that I needed not so complicated program and I tried www.dataentrybusiness.com. The price for the program was the same but this program did not contain the tutorial to create Google and Yahoo accounts and how to work with these accounts, there was a simple proposition to study the tutorials from Google and Yahoo independently. And off course, I should pay for Wordtracker and Keywordanalyzer and for the clicks to Google and Yahoo.
As I understood, this program was much worse than Mint Jobs.
But I did not give up and tried www.rebateprocessorjobs.com. In the advertisement to this program I read that it is not traditional data entry type job and that I'll get in these program complete STEP by STEP directions so I can do this work on my own as an independent contractor! I received a lot of information about rebates, surveys, mystery shopping, blogs, eBay and so on, but there were no tutorials. This program contains only information, but I needed the program to earn money!
The last program was www.webcolleagues.com. This program created by the group of real type-at-home typists and I am positive it is one of the best programs. The price for the program is $49. There are no selling products by typing ads, placing classifieds, sending emails and using Pay-Per-Clicks programs like Google AdWords and there is no spending additional money once a member. The main point of this program is very simple: you type and you get paid! You will need to type short articles, usually about a paragraph in length but these are not ads.
I must admit that this program has a complete step-by-step tutorial.
This program consists of 3 parts.
I began with submitting articles or contents to the internet. I like to create articles, but I had no idea how to publish them in the internet.
There is special part in the program with the tutorial how to create articles and it helps me a lot. I use the principles to create contents from this guide.
The Internet is growing so rapidly and all Web sites need quality and fresh contents. Short articles usually 500 words or less will pay between $15 to $100 and articles over 1000 words will pay as much as $400 or more. And articles can be about anything you want to write about.
There is the complete information about publishing companies in the “Freelance Article Writer” part of the program. Most of these companies act as the middleman and publish articles to be purchased by Web sites, affiliate marketers, etc.
I was successful with www.constant-content.com , www.helium.com and www.myessays.com . I still submit my contents on them. All these sites have several options that allow authors to get paid. I also want to add that www.myessays.com has free plagiarism detection scanner and it works perfectly. The only problem with these sites is the popularity. There are many good authors and perfect contents that make the process of selling the articles very slow.
I am sure that “Responsive Typist” part of the program is good for the people with the high speed of typing. Many people that love to chat on the Internet can make some extra money for doing things they already doing on the daily basis.
There are forums in the program which pay for posts and the average pay is about .10 cents per post. They also pay for posting pictures and videos.
I am not very fond of forums but I like www.myLot.com and www.kickstartyourforum.com . There are many interesting discussions and interesting visitors on these sites. I was not satisfied with www.reviewstream.com from this part of the program. The site is very original, there is no registration! They pay $2 per review with at least 250 words. But they take only 10 reviews per month from one author and demand full rights on contents.
The third part of the program is “Posting Articles to AdSense Revenue Sharing Sites”. It is very interesting. You must submit your contents or simple posts and photos to the revenue-sharing sites and these sites place your Google AdSense codes in your articles. When someone reads your articles or posts and then clicks on the Google AdSense box in your articles, you get paid but you must share your revenue with the site.
I subscribed to the www.shareyourexpertise.com, www.xomba.com, www.plugim.com, www.reviewparty.com and I submitted to all this sites my articles and I earned some money. But for my opinion it was not the money that I expected. All these sites could not organize the rotation of my contents to the thousands of viewer. As I understood for organize such a process I must have my own blog. Only blog which was indexed and ranked by the Internet Search Engine can guarantee the traffic of visitors and a steady income. So, it is necessary to use revenue sharing sites as an addition to the “Blog Program”.
The “Blog Program” dedicated to the creation of blogs and getting traffic to them. There are absolutely perfect Step by Step directions how to create and work with blogs. The creation of the blog is absolutely free. A blog allows you to make posts as often as you want, as well as on whatever subject you want. And typing short contents with special affiliate promotion links can create the perfect and steady income for the author.
But the creation of the first blog is a very hard work and it is the best to work hard on one blog to get it indexed and ranked, rather than to create 20 blogs that do not get the attention they need to get indexed and ranked.
Creating blog you will be paid by Google to place their Internet contextual boxes on the articles you post, by affiliate programs to post to your blog articles that will earn you commissions, for sales or leads when someone visits your blog and by companies that will pay you to post their ads to your blog once your blog is indexed to the search engines.
I think that the main task for the beginning of this program is to choose the theme for the blog. That means to find a profitable niche to target. There are some ideas for blogs theme.
1. Most people want to be in fashion, so your blog can target niches about fashion information, clothing products, clothing accessories, celebrity trends, etc…
2. Most people want to be full of energy, so your blog can target energy drinks or other energy products like caffeine, energy inducing diet plans, sleep theory, etc...
3. Many people collect things, so your blog can target product niches such as trading cards, coins, nick-knacks, dolls, plates, old books, glassware, comic books, stamps, or anything else you can think of that people tend to collect.
And off course for the success of the business you also need desire and determination.
So, just get going on making your own business dreams come to life today
