Elvis Presley, more commonly referred to as simply Elvis, was an American singer and songwriter. He started out as a regular Joe, but he became a cultural (and some might say sex) icon. He was born in 1935 in Mississippi and as a result of poor health, abuse of prescription drugs, and a number of other factors he died in 1947, at the age of 42. Amazingly, he has sold more records that anyone else in history (so far) by selling more than 150 albums and singles. I can say without a doubt, that my favorite song of his is his version of You Are Always on My Mind. It was originally written by Lee Johnny Christopher, Mark James and Wayne Carson Thompson and was performed by Brenda Lee.
