My Feelings on Gun Control

My Feelings on Gun Control

.

There is a bumper sticker that I have seen some years ago.  It says, "When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns."

That my friend is a true statement, many law abiding citizens are not going to give up their guns easily.  Some people only have one or two guns for hunting, while others have many guns, and that doesn’t matter.  Either way they won’t give up their guns without a fight.  If a man or woman owns a gun or several they all feel the same way.  I know that is how I feel about it too.  Most if not all gun owners will not for anyone and in spite of what anyone says will not give up their gun or guns.

I for one consider myself a law abiding man and have no desire to break any law, but I pity the man or woman that tries to come in my house and take my gun from me.  I have no intention of using force to keep my guns.  On the other hand I plan to do whatever is necessary to keep them in my possession and retain ownership like I believe the founding fathers meant for us to be able to do in these United States.

I understand that there's a difference in the way people from the South feel about guns and the way people in other parts of the country feel.  I am from the South and proud of it.  I am also proud to be a part of the U.S.A., but I'm not so proud of the way things are going in our country these days.  All the people in the South that I have any idea how they feel on gun control feel the same that I do or very nearly so.

That is one law that never needs to be passed, and Shame on this Great Land if it is!

Great thoughts and comments on Gun Control..

Just about anything can be used as a weapon and yes, children should be protected and safe from all weapons.

Thanks for the great article.

A weapon is a weapon. Guns,

A weapon is a weapon. Guns, knives, baseball bats all can kill. It boils down to responsibility. I actually have that bumpersticker.

Thanks

Thank you Jenny,

I only keep my guns to protect my family if they need it and if I get a chance to go hunting.  I love hunting having been raised in the south.  Still as I get older, I don't hunt nearly as much as I used to or even as much as I would like too.  For the most part they just stay put up.

Great one!

Yes it is sad how people need to posses gun to feel secure in today's world but we do. Thought provoking!

NO problems with gun ownership!

No problems with gun ownership, just the lack of responsibility some have. NO child should ever die from a gun in the house because of a stupid parent. not putting it in a place where a child can' gain access. Also the in law Arizona passed that allows guns in bars now. Ooops alcohol, bars, and guns donot mix. All I ask is that people be responsible with their guns and where they keep them, and take them! I think that's a reasonable request!
