We hear their names all the time.....Jon and Kate Gosselin.  It's funny how we all probably hear their names and a picture of them pops into our mind.  We know exactly who they are, what they are famous for, and probably what their latest divorce gossip is. nbsp; But how many of us know the names of the people in this story that really matter?  How many of us have memorized the names and images of Mady, Cara, Alexis, Joel, Aaden, Leah, Collin, and Hannah?

The more I hear about this family, the more my heart breaks for these eight children.  I think it is a shame that these parents are fighting in the public eye the way that they are.  I am a mother and I have my opinions about whether they should continue filming or not, but that is not what this is about.  I wish that, as parents, they could come together and make a cohesive decision that benefits those eight beautiful kids.  Instead, we hear about fighting, emptying out bank accounts, Jon's girlfriends, battles between lawyers, and how these two parents communicate mainly "via text."

I think it is a shame that two adults that seem to be well education can't put their pride aside and make common sense decisions behind closed doors.  Whatever they feel is right for their family is their decision, not the public's, but they need to come together and make a compromise.  This tug-of-war is only hurting their kids more and more.  I have faith that in the end it will all work out but I am truly tired of reading only negative stories about this family and I greatly look forward to the day when a headline like "Gosselin's Make Peace" catches my eye at the grocery store...for the kids' sake.
