My paranormal experiences
posted October 2, 2008 - 11:04pmParanormal experiences. I am sure that most of us have had at least some or one kind of paranormal experience in our lifetime. It could be either simply an intuition, a foresight, a coincidence, a feeling of deja vu, having psychic abilities or a real encounter with ghosts or spirits from the other world. Like I said, there are many kinds of paranormal phenomenon that are heard of and there is no scientific explanation for most of them.
I too have had some experiences during the course of my life that I cannot give an easy explanation for. Lets start with intuition. This may be the most common phenomenon to occur in women more than men and I have always had strong intuitions about many things that have proved to be "correct" in the long run. For eg. Once when we were going on a road trip to Karwar by car, I had this strong feeling that we shouldn't be making this trip at all and something told me not to take over the wheel. I told my husband that we should have left the car back and could have taken the bus instead. Well, call it instinct or intuition, I don't know, but we had a head on collision with an oncoming truck soon after. Luckily, we were fortunate enough to escape unhurt. The car was not all that fortunate though, and was badly smashed from the front.
This kind of feeling has occurred on many occasions in my life and I have learned to listen to my inner voice while making decisions. There seems to be some "guiding" factor that works in my subconscious all the time and it manifests out in different ways. The other way is through dreams.
I have been having dreams that come "true" in some form or the other. Or they occur scene by scene in the exact manner as an event that is about to happen in my real life in the near future. Has this ever happened to anyone else out here? Although, they have not been anything serious in nature, just kind of a foresight into the near future.
Let me give you a small example. This happened in college, during my internship. In my dream, one night, I saw myself in the clinics as usual, it was in the morning and so I had just come to the clinic and marked my attendance and then went to the corridor outside to see who else was there. I saw a friend of mine, Astrid, coming towards me and wished her "good morning". She replied and walked on to her own department. I then turned and saw her father approaching from the road outside towards the clinics. The moment I saw him, I had a foreboding of bad news. I immediately turned back and called Astrid out to tell her that her father was here to meet her. That was it. I woke up soon after.
The next day, I could remember the dream I had at night very vividly, all the details. I felt confused and wondered what it meant. I went on to the clinics as usual and everything happened scene by scene exactly as it had happened in the dream.
My friend's mother was suffering from breast cancer and had been admitted in the hospital and was undergoing extensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment for the same. Her father, on that fateful day was there to inform her that her mother had expired.
I have had many of these kind of dreams. Some were totally inconsequential, but true nevertheless. What is strange is that these dreams have stopped since the day I got married. I wonder why? Have I lost some part of my psychic abilities?
We are all familiar with the feelings of deja vu. This occurs to me many times and there is no explanation for these feelings. They just come and go at any time.

Dream message
I have had many of the same types of experiences. The dreams center around crisis and people who are close to me. I don't think yours necessarily stopped because you got married. Be grateful that your dreams haven't had a reason to contact you. However, sometimes dreams foretell of happy times, like births! I am writing about one such event for my next paranormal article.
Happy Dreams!
