What's more Hazardous Smoking or the Additives?

Cigarettes aren't hazardous to my health. What is hazardous to my health is the additives put into them ( Nicotine, Formaldehyde, Acrolein, Carbon monoxide, Methyl isocyanide, Cadmium, Hydrogen cyanide, Acrylamide, Ammonia). Geez there are so many I would need another page to list them. It is claimed there are 599 additives in a cigarette and they all sound bad. Now we come to the filter (Fiberglass and Cellulose Acetate) which when discarded can pose a threat to birds and other forms of wildlife. Imagine what it would do to us, so that's definitely bad too.
I am beginning to realize that everything we ingest, inhale, or drink, is hazardous to our health. Everything that is now found to be hazardous to my health seems to be additives that the companies have processed in to an otherwise healthy product. Beef was healthy before cattle was fed steroids. Vegetables were healthy until processed, additives added, then canned. Maybe we should grow our own so we can enjoy and eat healthy.
Maybe cigarette smoking would be less hazardous if we grew our own or bought the tobacco straight from the farmers, ground it up and rolled our own. They use to do that in the olden days, but I guess our Government wouldn't allow that. I guess when I quit smoking I better go cold turkey for even the quit smoking aids have additives( patch, gum, prescription drugs, oral nicotine inhalers ). I do plan on quitting in the next 30 days, but as I am working thru my reasons for quitting I couldn't help, but ponder these thoughts. Quote by Unknown: Cigarettes are killers that travel in packs.
