I have always felt that writing must be something that you enjoy. Although I am not an expert writer by any means, it is a hobby that I find pleasurable. Like most people, I write for the sheer fun of it and not for the money it brings me. I’m sure that 99% of us would be very poor if we had to live on the money we make from writing. We like to share experiences and provide information to other people. There is a sense of pride when you see the page views on your articles start to climb. However, today my writing journey has taken a different path.

Today I checked my adsense account and found something that made me change my outlook. I have been a Xomba member for over a year but I have only been writing regularly for about a month. Today I passed the 1000 views mark and I thought I would check the adsense amount. My account shows 0 clicks. That’s right, absolutely no earnings at all. I double checked the account just to make sure that everything was active and set up right. I even made sure that Xomba had the right account number in my file. It shows that I have almost 200 page impressions in the past 2 weeks, but no clicks.

Don’t get the wrong idea, I don’t blame Xomba. I just find it amusing. I will still post Xombytes and Xomblurbs. In fact I will continue to write about subjects that I find enjoyable. But now I have a different goal. My goal is to reach 10000 views without a click. I feel that if I continue to post on a regular basis that I will reach this goal in a few months. Once I reach that goal then I will have risen to a height that no one else has achieved. I will be the king of financial futility. I’ve always wanted to be the best at something.
