The Mystery of the Increased Sightings of Tanned Old Aged Pensioners in Cumbria

Strange to see, but see you will, couples and small groups of Old Aged Pensioners in Cumbria. We explain the increased sightings in this concise article.

Thousands of ex-pats are leaving their homes abroad and returning home to the UK. The Exodus (or re-exodus) is due to the value of the British Pound (GBP). For instance, rental properties around Malaga in Spain, (christened “Costa-Not-A-Lot-A” in the UK’s press, have seen rents rise for £300 to £500 in six months.

As the pound falls to parity with the Euro many OAPs are seeing a situation in which “they may as well return home to Blighty”. We predict this phenomenon will be short lived as once these people are reminded of the grim truth of life in a country which is – let’s be honest – cold and depressing most of the time AND fast going down the pan. Just wait until they get their first winter electricity bill!

OUR ADVICE TO OAPs considering relocation:

Try Canada!

If they decide to move to the States why not try Arkansas!

I know everyone is saying to themselves, "Arkansas where the hillbillies live?" Well, the crime rate is lower in Arkansas that in other states! There is excellent BBQ all over the whole state! The taxes are much lower than in Florida or other parts of the South. Best of all is, you can buy a beautiful home without much money to start out with! The Summers are nice and hot, then they also have the beautiful Fall follage season there as well! That is why they called it the NATURAL state! If you are bored with nature, you can go to southern Arkansas and go hunting for diamonds so you can sel it for more money somewhere else! Or just maybe pay for your vacation with the diamonds that you find there!

Have you ever wondered what to do with those dryer sheets that you have in you

Why Canada?

Yep it is cold - but no toxic debt in Canada - the thought of that cheered up a few of the OAPs I know. It was only an after-thought the Canada suggestion but I'm glad I added it - got you commenting (tee hee).

-16 deg C!? do you have

-16 deg C!? do you have special thermometers that go that low? :-) here they start to feel cold at +16 C. A friend of mine lived in Alaska for some years and was able to drive to work in a car with no cooling system and get there just before it would blow up. he lost the car one year under a snow drift. erm... I never did go to visit. Join Xomba Here

Take off, eh?

There are lots of places that the OAP could go that is more hospitable in the winter. Canada would not top my list. How about Miami Beach in Florida? There are lots of the American flavor of OAP down there already and, since the pensioners already speak Spanish, they'll fit right in with the Cuban ex-pat community that lives there. Why Canada? It's cold there

Why Canada? It's cold there too in winter. But funny tho. Yeah I had a tan in London in December but it soon wore off. Maybe enterprising third world countries should take our expats. Actually, Cambodia is still cheap! Mind you, here it hits about 36 C every day... the poor ole biddies will swoon! Join Xomba Here

Funny but not a great idea

When I say not a great idea, I live in Canada and here is today's weather forecast: This Morning Sunny with cloudy periods Temperature: -16°C Wind chill: -25 Wind 20 km/h NPOP: 20% Its March. In England the dafodils are up. Where I live it will be the end of April before the ground melts enough for even the early spring bulbs. Funny article! thanks.
