Turmeric has
antibiotic properties ,improves blood circulation and helps cleanse the liver helping the body in detox. Turmeric can be taken internally at one spoonful in a glass of water or mixed into a past with some water and applied to the affected area as a face mask.
Paracetimol contains sylic acid ( a common ingredient in over the counter spot creams) . Crush some paracetimol tablets into a fine powder and mix with a little water to make a past and apply either as a mask or to individual pimples. The paracetimol dry’s out spots and reduces redness and inflammation. Perfect for a quick fix.
Honey is naturally antibacterial and antiseptic and can be used as a soothing and cleansing mask. Just apply to affected area and wash off after 10-15 minutes.
Oats can make an alternative to soap gently cleansing and exfoliating the skin with out drying it out.
Pro biotic yogurt applied to the affected area can help increase our skins good bacteria. Good bacteria helps fight acne causing bacteria and keep skin healthy but it can be killed off by acne products.
Lemon juice has sylic acid and when applied to affected area can stop oil production in the skin as well as drying out spots. Leave on for 10-15 minutes before washing off with plenty of water.
Garlic has anti inflammatory ,antiseptic ,antibacterial properties. A fresh clove of garlic can be rubbed on the affected area. Garlic taken internally also helps cleanse the blood .
Vitamin B6 is responsible for more body functions than any other vitamin as well as being important in the repair of skin cells. Deficiencies are known to cause acne. It has also been suggested that vitamin B6 helps regulate hormones , aiding in the treatment of acne.
Vitamin C taken in high doses up to 1000mg per day is good for all round health, healthy skin and also aids the body in fighting infections.
Zink is essential for maintaining and repairing the skin. A deficiency in zink can actually be the cause of acne.
