Natural Cleaners - Clean your house with Homemade Green Products!

There are many natural products that you probably already have in your home that are great for cleaning.  Most of these products are non-toxic, safe for the environment and less expensive than what you are already using.  Plus, most of these are standard items that can be found in any home!

Windows - Mix 1/4 cup white vinegar in a spray bottle filled with water.  After filling with water add 2 drops of dishwashing liquid detergent and let it disolve.  For best results clean windows with newspaper and do not clean windows while hot from the sun or while the sun is shining directly on them.  Avoid this will deter streaking!

Soap Scum - Not completely green - however, this will save you hours of scrubbing!  Take a dryer sheet, wet it and wipe away soap scum.  Not sure why it works, however, it will remove soap scum from anything!

Disinfect Garbage Disposal - To remove the smell from a garbage disposal place a quarter of a lemon in the disposal and turn it on.  If the smell remains, repeat.

Coffee and Tea Stains - Coffee and tea stains are easily removed with white vinegar.  In order to clean your coffee pot, fill the pot with water + one cup of white vinegar and run it through.

Scouring - A natural way to scour any surface is baking powder.  Use baking powder instead of harsh chemicals that often contain bleach.  This is a great alternative for your kitchen counter tops.
