Natural Ways to Cure Acne

The number of acne products available in stores nationwide has increased multifold over the years. Yet, people continue to be dissapointed by the treatments often featured in television and radio commercials. They constantly spend hundereds, if not thousands of dollars going from one treatment to the next in hopes that it will cure their acne. It turns out that natural acne regimens are your best bet if you hope to achieve a clear complexion. These cures do not incoporate harsh ingredients found at the heart of commerically available products. They are also available far more inexpensively. We will explore soem fo these treatments below.

Lemon jucie has often been praised for its powerful properties. It makes the perfect acne treatment as it is a disinfectant, exfoliator, and skin lightener. It can help destory acne bacteria that is repsonsible for inflamed lesions. Further, it helps prevent pores from getting clogged by eliminating dead skin cells. When acne is finally gone, it can tackle pesky hyperpigmentation (or skin discoloration) that is left over. It is an all around comprehensive treatment.

No natural ways to cure acne guide would be complete without a mention of pure water. The water most of us use to cleanse our acne is full of contaminants, including chlorine. Your skin does not respond well to the type of abuse we put it through, causing breakouts. Consider using bottled pure water from now on in your treatment. Additionally, start drinking more water to help you body get rid of toxins.

A number of oils as well as herbs, such as witch hazel have been applauded for their acne-fighting effects. One oil worthy of a mention is tea tree oil, which is to be applied topically to acne-prone areas. One study indicated that tea tree oil was just as effective as benzoyl peroxide. Again, you will have to try it out for yourself to gauge the results.
