NBC Unveils its Fall 2008 TV Schedule
posted April 12, 2008 - 10:16amNBC has released its Fall 2008-2009 schedule, six weeks ahead of its network rivals, and new programs show a mix of pickups of current shows and new programs, some based on historical stories.
The L.A. Times says there will be dramas based on the stories of King David, Robinson Crusoe, the magician Merlin, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (starring Christian Slater). And the peacock network has picked up a series that updates the 1980s program "Knight Rider," which was successful as a TV movie recently.
Later in the year NBC will begin a series that is a spinoff of "The Office."
Returning shows include "Friday Night Lights," which will be back for its third season.
