Nelly Furtado Wins Five Junos

Nelly Furtado swept all five categories in which she was nominated. Plus she was handing out the little Juno statuettes.

Only in Canada would the host of an awards show also be the major recipient of the night’s biggest prizes. It’s not because of anything underhanded; we just don’t have enough celebrities to perform and host. I think she catered the event too. And was in charge of the valet parking.

They should've enlisted BSS to host; there would've been enough manpower to serve as ushers and orchestra members too. I saw them last year and they had 15 musicians on stage at some points.
