Nesae 9-10

Nesae 9-10

9- AND LET THOSE WHO FEAR THAT THEY MIGHT LEAVE WEAK CHILDREN BEHIND, FEAR FOR THEIR WELFARE. LET THEM BE PIOUS ND GUARD THEMSELVES FROM ALLAH’S DISPLEASURE, AND LET THEM SPEAK RIGHTEOUSLY.
10- THOSE WHO UNJUSTLY EAT THE MONEY AND PROPERTY OF THE ORPHANS, THEY ARE EATING INTO THEIR BELLIES NOTHING BUT FIRE, AND THEY WILL BE BURNT IN THE FIRE.

Allah the Highest is telling us that we should treat other people’s children as we would like our children to be treated.   Indeed, our children will be treated as we treat the children of others. Therefore, we should be pious and fear Allah the Highest when we are taking part in sharing out the inheritance of a deceased person.
Then Allah the Highest draws a picture for us about what happens to those who unjustly take the inheritance of the orphans. They are like eating fire in their bellies, and they will also be burned in the Hell-Fire. Allah’s messenger companion Abu Saed El-Khodari narrated: ‘Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him told me about the night he was taken for Israe, he said: “I saw people with lips like the lips of camels, there were others in charge of them. They took them by their lips then put into their mouths blazing stone, which came out of their behinds. I said: O Gabriel, who are they? He said: “they are THOSE WHO UNJUSTLY EAT THE MONEY AND PROPERTY OF THE ORPHANS”. (Ibn Haban)
Devouring the money and property of the orphans is one of the greatest sins. Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “Avoid the seven sins which cause your destruction”, they said: “What are they Allah’s messenger?” He said: “To worship partners besides Allah, Black Magic, killing the soul which Allah has forbidden to kill, Except for a just cause, devouring the money of the orphans, taking usury, turning away on the day of battle and accusing the believing women of adultery”. (M: Eman; 144 & B: Wasaya; 23)
Devouring the money of the orphans is a sin for which the believers may burn in the Hell-Fire, if not for eternity. Allah’s messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “The people of the Hell-Fire, who are its people, they do not die in it or live. They are people who are touched by the fire because of their sins. Allah lets them die once, when they are charred, then Allah will permit intercession. They will be taken in bundles and bundles to be spread along the rivers of the Paradise. Then it will be said: “People of the Paradise, pour water on them”. They will pour water on them and they will germinate and grow as the seed grows after being watered”. (M: Eman; 306 & Ma: Zohd; 37 & A: 3; 5)
Although the orphan’s money is what is mentioned here, taking any money unjustly of the inheritors is sinful. The orphans are the worst sufferer, and the sin of taking their money unjustly is the worst of the sins of taking the money of the inheritors unjustly.
