Nevada DMV Court Permits ‘HOE’ License Plate

A Las Vegas man won a courtroom battle Wednesday with the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles over his "HOE" license plate, which the agency tried to cancel on grounds that he was using a slang reference to prostitutes.

William Junge said he got the "HOE" plate in 1999 for his Chevy Tahoe, after being told "TAHOE" wasn't available.

I think that it is totally ridiculous that this case went all the way to the Nevada Supreme Court when there is another state that is allowed to proudly display "IDAHO" on all of their plates...

Colorado Won't Allow Tofu

[img_assist|nid=356413|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=75]The Colorado DMV denied a vegan's 'ILVTOFU' license plate because they thought the combination of letters could be interpreted as profane. Kelly Coffman-Lee said tofu is a staple of her family's diet because they are vegan and that the DMV misinterpreted her message. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30112394/ns/us_news-weird_news/
