Never Throw Good Money at Bad People
posted August 16, 2009 - 8:17pmThis is how it all started. My cousin and i were walking around downtown and could not find anything to do
So to cure the boredom we decided to start throwing a dollar
on the ground in front of random people that were walking by. It was amazing nobody knew
what to do they just kind of stared oddly and we thought it was pretty amusing.
Before we knew it we were talking out loud about how funny peoples reactions were.
We were having a great time until one guy over heard us laughing at him after we had done our little experiment more than once to the same person. He walked away from us with a very upset look on his face and we decided to give it a rest. But as we were walking around the next corner the man we had been laughing at came out of nowhere and through a stack of bills in front of us. We had no idea what to do! It looked like it could be as much as 10,000 dollars and when the man walked away he just stared at us walking backwards so as to face us as he disappeared back around the corner. A million things were racing through my mind i mean should we pick it up or leave it, is the guy going to come back from around the corner as soon as i reach for it and shoot me, what was going on here. The worst thing about it was when he through the money it bounced and landed in the middle of the street so we had to decide what we were going to do pretty fast. So,we talked about it and my crazy cousin finally decided that he was just going to stand over the money for an entire hour and if the guy hadn’t returned we were going to take it with us. So now john is standing there in the middle of the street just counting the minutes but of course as we all know if there is a street there is going to be some traffic.Suddenly i looked up and there was a big rig heading straight towards john he didn’t seem to be scared but he still seemed reluctant to pick up the money and get off the road.He just waved at the truck hoping to get it to go around him only the truck did not slow down , he just kept coming and honking his horn by this time my cousin was flailing his arms frantically trying to get the truck to do something, anything! But it was to late the truck hit him going about 60 mph.I woke up very sad and well kind of hyper ventilating! and i told myself to never throw money at strangers.
