New Book to Reveal UFO Crash

In a new book, "The Other Roswell: UFO Crash on the Texas-Mexico border," by UFO researchers Noe Torres and Ruben Uriarte, Robert B. Willingham, 82, a retired US Air Force colonel and fighter pilot, describes a UFO crash he witnessed in 1955. Willingham says that he was flying his fighter jet when he encountered a UFO and began to chase it near Del Rio in West Texas. He witnessed the object crash into the side of a hill. Later he visited the crash site and saw the metalic object sticking into the side of the hill.

When he encountered the UFO he was flying as part of an escort for a B-47 bomber across Texas. He was flying one of several F-86 fighter jets in a simulation of the route a bomber would take to reach Russia, when radio communication notified the group that a UFO was approaching from the Northwest. When it came into sight the pilots saw a bright light which they described as looking like a small star. Because of Willingham's position he was best able to observe it as it passed.

Willingham estimates the object was moving at approximately 2,000 mph when it passed him then made a 90 degree turn without reducing speed. Willingham followed the craft toward the Texas-Mexico border where, near the Rio Grande it began to descend and then cashed.

The Mexican military was already on the scene by the time Willingham was able to return to the site in a smaller plane, but he did retrieve a piece of a metalic substance that proved to be indestructible.
