New software for individuals with Phenylketonuria (PKU)

A large number of individuals suffer from a rare genetic condition called Phenylketonuria or PKU. Every individual affected by this must strictly monitor their diet. There have been in the past various different types of computer programs to manage the diet, however nothing has lasted.

It is hoped that this new piece of software will be able to fill a vital role. The creator also has PKU and wrote the program for himself to help better manage diet sheets. As there is a lack of programs available for individuals with PKU he has decided to give it out to individuals that also have PKU. Updates need to be completed in order to make it useable by the community. The only setback to this software is it is programmed by one individual with a full time job a release date is not yet determined.

It is expected that the cost of the software will be free released either as Donationware, or Shareware. The creator also wrote a similar program some years ago called PKU Diet Sheet Creator which included a full food list. He is also interested in getting comments and questions from the PKU community.
