New Technology, Self-cleaning Drain Trap For Kitchen Sink
posted January 13, 2009 - 6:10pmA self-cleaning drain trap for the kitchen sink has been a long time coming. With the simplicity of the technology, it's astounding that someone has not come up with the invention before now.
The new invention, the PermaFlow, is simply the elbow pipe joint that fits under the kitchen
sink, but it has something other drain pipe elbow joints don't have: a knob that you turn by hand that connects to a paddle on the inside of the drain trap. The paddle turns inside the drain trap and pushes whatever is clogging the kitchen sink drain along it's way.
The price of this self-cleaning drain trap is less than the price of having a plumber come out and unclog the drain for you. For under $40, you can unclog your own drain and even see what was clogging it.
The PermaFlow self-cleaning drain trap is transparent. You could see if your ring or one of your good pieces of silverware was clogging the drain.
