posted May 26, 2008 - 7:47amEvery new writer dreams of getting noticed and getting published. It doesn’t matter what kind of writer you are, you will one day, want to be exposed and greeted by the literary world. It’s natural and it’s great if you are thinking this way, because you have already taken a small step in your mind to achieving this goal.
To become a successful writer and to get your work noticed in the early stages is the hardest part. A fear of rejection and lonely days and nights in front of the laptop as you batter away endlessly at the keys is common for most writers. Even if you’re not a fiction writer, there are thousands of magazines out there that need new material to survive. Writers supply them with that material. Search for magazines that specialise in the subject that you write in. Subscribe to it or read several copies to see exactly what kind of articles they are looking for. Write your article and submit it, after reading the submission guidelines.
Never ever give up after receiving a rejection letter. This is the most common part in the world of writers. There are more rejections than submissions. Recover from a rejection by starting your new article. With determination, you will be where you want to be quicker than you think.
