The New Xomba Is Officially Launched!
posted August 10, 2009 - 10:49amToday is a big day for Xomba because today is the official launch of Xomba.com!
To help us promote, we have made a Press Release which is currently spreading the word about Xomba to media across the country. Hopefully this will mean more writers and more readers of the content that everyone here works so hard in creating.
We know that there are still a few bugs left to finish up but we feel that the site is now ready to show to the world. If you have any more bugs or questions please direct them to the Contact page.
The other big news of the day is that the Xomba family has officially gotten one bigger!
Kristen Malmed, who was an intern for us this summer is now a full time Xomba employee. She will be taking over most of the moderating responsibilities and contributing to our marketing plan. Join me in welcoming her to Xomba!
Later this week we'll be uploading pictures of our new office along with updated photos to our About Us section.

I am new here....
I am still figuring out how the system works. This looks promising.
Are you Planning to Put in
Are you Planning to Put in Some of Those Bookmark-Site Buttons?
You might say "that would encourage users to $p@m the bookmark-sites with rush-jobbed posts here," but people who $P@M like that--I tell ya--they have all the encouragement they need---they've got those bookmark-sites IN THEIR BOOKMARKS!
For example, I just bookmarked this to Facebook (with a bookmark that Facebook offers, not one I dug up after hours of 'h@cking').
Adding those buttons would actually make it easier for the GOOD writers to spread their goodness to their good friends!

New Xomba, New Text Editor, New Staff
I haven't had much time to stop by Xomba in the last week or so, but love the changes. New text editor is great. (no comment block on the Aug 14th blog).
Welcome to Kristen!
Yippee!
Good to see things settle down and Xomba launching officially. PLEASE don't turn into Hubpages II though and become difficult, indistinct and (quite frankly) a waste of space... Xomba has a unique allure which it has managed to retain during improvements - at least that's what all in the AAT2 office have found these last 55 weeks.
I'm glad Jim is back and Wilma Proops (my boss) is positively over the moon - she had an email from him yesterday but will not reveal its contents. Glad that Darrell Curts has an article featured on the Home Page and glad to welcome Kristen too. Really glad it's Friday though as Wilma Proops was dumped yesterday and has hit the bottle big time...

New Text Editor
I have only published one blurb and it only has one picture since you switched to the newest editor, but it is a 100 times better than the other one!! I was kicking and screaming the other night trying to do a xombyte with multiple pictures with the other editor. In the end, I still didn't care for how the layout looked.
Thank you for this newest editor with more features!!!
Now, if there was an easier way to manipulate content around the google ad block. :)

Hspace, Vspace
You will have to play with the alignment plus the Hspace and Vspace numbers. These options will show up after you have hit the insert button.

It worked!
I got a picture into an article!
How do I wrap text around though...there isn't a clear-cut way to do it that I can see.
Thanks,
Sharon

New Text Editor
We were having a lot of trouble with our last Text Editor and have enabled this new editor. You should once again be able to upload images to your posts. Also there is now a button to copy from Word (its the picture of the clipboard with the W).
Please let us know if you have any questions or find any bugs.
