The New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance offers food stamps to qualifying individuals that live in the state of New York and are U.S. citizens or are qualified non-citizens.

The New York food stamp program allows the purchase of food items only. Non-food items such as tobacco, alcohol, household cleaning products, paper products, soap, and personal hygiene products cannot be purchased using food stamps.
