I posted an article a little earlier today making the bold statement that the New York Yankees would lose the World Series.  Heck, I even made a guess at what the final score of tonight's game and what tomorrow night's score would be as well.  However, it looks like I was ay wrong.  As of a few hours ago, the New York Yankees are officially the 2009 world champions of baseball.  I guess I did not count on Matsui having such a hot bat every time he came to the plate with runners in scoring position.  In any event, I am not a Philadelphia Phillies fan anyway, just do not like the Yankees.    But the fact of the matter is, they beat a lot of great teams to accomplish this goal, and they deserve a big congratulations.  I can now only hope that next year is a better year for my precious Atlanta Braves.
