The New York Yankees threw a victory parade in New York City on Friday, November 6, 2009 morning , to celebrate their 27th World Series title. The victory parade traveled through the financial district's Canyon of Heroes. The ticker-tape parade, which reportedly cost $331,000, began on Broadway at Battery Place at 11 a.m. and continued  uptown along the Canyon of Heroes to Chambers Street.
