Niche Adsense Marketing Is Freaking Hard

Niche Adsense Marketing Is Freaking Hard

Niche marketing is often mentioned as one of the best ways to make money online, especially if you're a beginner. My own experience has shown me that while yes, there's money to be made and the potential for full time passive income, niche marketing is also freaking hard. It's not only hard work, but I find that a lot of the advice you get online isn't exactly step by step clear.

You'll hear terms like "find a niche keyword," "gather quality backlinks," or "quality buying traffic." All these are true in using Adsense, or affiliate products, for niche marketing. But even knowing the key is backlinks, or knowing you have to find niche keywords doesn't make it easy. On top of the fact that many of the best even say they have far more failures than successes, try gathering 300 quality keyword anchored do follow backlinks from a variety of sources.

Yeah, it can get daunting. This doesn't mean it's not worth it, and I'm the first to admit that online SEO does not come naturally to me. I learn bit by bit, and I adapt well, but this isn't a natural talent for me. Adsense, niche marketing, and SEO is all starting to really pay off for me, and I've especially seen jumps the past two months, but none of it was easy.

And then there's patience. Whatever greater power there is in the universe has been hammering on me for years to try to teach me patience. He/She/It has to be having a migraine at this point due to lack of progress. So I keep working and hammering away, try not to get too flustered, and try not to think how much insane work it will take for me to get $100 passive every single day if I don't get much better at niche marketing and writing for Adsense than I am right now.

I won't go into actual numbers, but when a lot of other people are having declines in income, I'm still seeing really solid percentage raises. Adsense can be frustrating, but bit by bit I'm gaining about 3-4% a month. I know I need more websites, more blogs, more articles, and so I keep hammering away, because I actually really enjoy niche marketing, I enjoy helping to shape the online world, and whenever anyone asks me if I mind talking shop, I get excited.

That last part is priceless. So even when it's slow and frustrating, I'm going to keep working to make money online, going to keep working on the niche marketing, and keep chasing the dream of full time residual income. And then I'll feel good about myself, because at that point I'll know that I've earned it.

No Problem

Hey jdubhub, Not a problem. Haven't heard of the ones you mentioned, I'll take a look. These guys often emphasize setting up their own sites, etc, but the SEO knowledge and Adsense knowledge they have is incredible. It's a LOT of reading, though, so don't be surprised :) Justin - http://seozombie.com, also http://www.bloggingzombie.com/ Courtney - http://courtneytuttle.com/ Grizz - http://makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com/ Read the comments sections of all his back posts, as well. He's really active in answering questions and it's like an information gold mine. Hope that helps. I know I've been working my tail off, and I know these guys teach good stuff because I used to work for a really solid Internet Marketer, and he trusts what say. Cheers, man, and hopefully we'll both be smiling by the end of the year :D For great information on the writer's life, check out my freelance writing blog for beginners.

I haven't heard of those guys, but I am still looking for input

My main source of information right now is Joel Comm. I also subscribe to "Eric's Tips", Keith Wellman, and a couple of others. Yeah, that would be great if you would add the URL's. Thanks! CLICK HERE TO JOIN XOMBA TODAY!

This business isn't for everyone

I can understand your frustration about learning search engine optimization and the ins-and-outs of Google AdSense. I see you've just signed up for Xomba. Couple of things. One, it is technically against Xomba's posting policy to speak disparagingly of the Google AdSense program. Two, with Xomba, you don't have to worry about the technical side of AdSense. That's the job of Nick, the CEO, and Jeremy, the moderator. All you have to do is write. I recommend checking out the Getting Started and Make Money Guide links at the top left of your screen. Having said that, welcome to Xomba! CLICK HERE TO JOIN XOMBA TODAY!

Thanks for the Comments

The Adsense can be discouraging at times, I will grant that much. My second month using it with Hubpages I was getting $30 a month off of one good keyword, then $40, and then the five advertisers turned into one and it became a $4 a month keyword. Nine steps forward, eight and a half back. Glad I'm not the only one dealing with the SEO blues. By the way, have you seen Justin's (SEO Zombie), Court's (Courtney Tuttle's Internet Marketing School), or Grizz's (Make Money Online for Beginners) blogs? These are three of the best resources I know of. If you haven't seen them let me know and I'll add the URLs in another comment. Thanks for the comments, guys. Plugging away we go. If it was easy, everybody would do it

Like your experience, the SEO part of this business doesn't come easy to me. Yes, I love to write and share and communicate and just enjoy seeing a collection of formerly abstract thoughts come together for a well-received article. That's what got me hooked on Xomba and the whole idea of writing as a vocation. The other part is what is on my plate right now. I just redid my home office and built a new computer (articles about those two will follow next week) so I'm organized and locked and loaded for taking my writing career to the next level. Part of what makes me excited about 2009 (or at least the last three quarters of the year) is that I'm ready to focus on learning the SEO better than anyone I know. The tools are there. The willingness to use them is there. Excellent article and a gentle reminder to the reader that there is more to this business than slinging words together. +1 CLICK HERE TO JOIN XOMBA TODAY!

Adsense Sucks!

I hate it, I have been trying its the hardest thing to work. I gave up, its to much headache and they need tech support for that I have been working with IBM's for over 10 years, that google adsense makes me confused. I have figured out the HTML editor but its to much drama, if I had a partner who understands this or a computer tech, I would be happy to have someone show me how to use Adsense but its been nothing but try try try. Anyway after even trying that Google Chrome, I wrote a blog on how is sucks as well. Take a look! http://www.webupon.com/Browsers/Google-Chrome.591755
