Nicholas Negroponte says One Laptop Per Child orders surge, Peru orders 260,000 new computers says Negroponte

Nicholas Negroponte, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor, who set up the one laptop per child foundation in an interview yesterday revealed that the Peru government has ordered 260,000 new computers under this scheme. He also said that the mexican billionaire carlos slim has purchased 50,000 new machines for distribution in mexico.
