A night she won't remember.

As the evening was just beginning, Amy was quite nervous. Why Amy let her friends talk her into going to the graduation party escaped her. She didn't know most of the people that would be at this party. The school bell just rang, everyone was filing out as quickly as they could move the person in front of them out of their way. Whispers could barely be heard as last minute plans were being made about who was picking up who for the party.

Searching through her non existence of a wardrobe, Amy was franticly  trying to find just the right ensemble for the evenings festivities.  As the party was being held at the local lake, a dress would not be the most practical  choice.  Her favorite pair of jeans had been seen  too many times. Desperate, Amy  looked into the depths of her closet for something that no one had seen her wear before.  Finally here eyes focused on a simple skirt of black  with just a hint of blue around the bottom of the hemline. The blouse that she found was a form fitting blue that perfectly showed just the slightest cleavage. Wearing high heels to the lake seemed strange so she opted for a pair of flats instead.

Giving herself the once over in her mirror, she told herself that she must go shopping for some new more mature clothes. Now to get something done with her hair. It had to be right, but for some reason it seems that her hair picked tonight to have a bad day. As she was putting the finishing touches to her uncontrollable  hair the phone rang. Rushing to answer before who ever it was gave up and hung up, Amy ran straight into the stand that housed the phone. Knocking the phone onto the floor as she whelped in pain. She picked the phone from the floor and not so calmly told whoever was on the other end that they had better be hurting just as badly as she was.
