Nintendo Wii
posted December 6, 2007 - 6:22amThe Nintendo Wii system is one year after its start on the market still a very popular product among Christmas and Hanukkah presents. People are queuing outside shopping malls and stores like Toys'R'Us or Best Buy early in the mornings, running through entire cities to find the amazingly popular game
system. But it seems to be sold out everywhere. Why is this? Nintendo succeeded to reach consumers outside the usual gaming community with the use of special motion sensitive controllers. In order to control a car, throw a punch or fly with Super Mario trough the Galaxy, consumers now have to move their wrist rather than pushing a button. This allows a new excitement, as the company advertises with 'experience a new way to play'. Old school games like Super Smash Bros, Donkey Kong or Super Mario All Stars are alive again. Furthermore, Nintendo Wii is the most affordable home game console compared to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
But the new hit lacks in some aspects. It has not got the advanced HD graphics and surround sound PS3 and Xbox uses and can not be used as a DVD - or CD player. I personally do not think that many real fans of Sony or Microsoft consoles have or will change the sites but still, the home game has an unusual strong demand throughout the year. Thus, there has to be something amazing about it.
Although it might be sold out in some stores you will find the System on the Internet. Just search at ebay or at the official Nintendo Wii website.
