No More .Com? New Domain Names Take Effect in 2009
After restricting domain names to .com, .edu and the like, the group responsible for monitoring these names will open it up to just about any word in early 2009, with a few exceptions of course.
They believe that this news will cause a rush of people and businesses after desirable top-level domain names.
As always, there are obstacles to your perfect domain name. Fees to buy the names could start at $100K and/or go to auction where the prices could go higher.
