Non-Fiction Book: The Last Six Minutes- A Mother’s Loss & Quest for Justice

The Last Six Minutes, a true saga of a Mother's search for justice, tells the facts of author Sandra Martins-Toner's search for justice after her son's brutal murder. While the criminal was caught and convicted, the mother and other relatives feel trapped in the grief and suffering associated with the unexpected, horrofic murder of a dear loved one.

Random murders happen every day. But what happens in the aftermath is seldom considered. Martins-Toner delves deeply into the process of living after such a tragedy. Her search for personal justice lead her to form a foundation in memory of her son, Families Against Crime & Trauma, (F.A.C.T.), which is her son's legacy.

Life has to go on for those remaining after a sudden horrible death. The loss of a 16-year old, thriving, energetic, healthy young man does not in any way lessen the grief suffered by those losing someone older. But the concept of justice as we know it makes the solutions to crimes far less than perfect for the  victims and survivors.

Aaspirations Publishing, a publishing house in Canada, supports the efforts of this author's survival and help offered to other survivors in many ways. You will want to view the video to learn more about this book which, which heart wrenching, is a must-read for any avid reader or anyone dealing with grief of any type.
