Nothing Like Some Delicious Fish Tacos Is There?

I always thought the idea of fish tacos was a little on the strange side. But let me tell you I was wrong...

Twice now I have had the pleasure of experiencing Al's Fish Tacos at TGI Friday's and they are delicious. The dish features three well-packed fish tacos with a side of tortilla chips and salsa.

The presentation of the dish is excellent. The chips are intermittently normal chips and red chips to give the dish a nice touch. The tacos are stuffed full. It is a delectable sight to see.

The tacos themselves feature perfectly fried tilapia inside with a wonderful lemon dill sauce that is like nothing I ever tasted before. I would have this dish again, and in fact, I already have.

I am currently looking up recipes for fish tacos on the internet, and when I find one to give a try, I will be all over letting everyone know if it stacks up against the restaurant experience. I hope so, but I kind of doubt it.

Thanks for reading...

Fish Taco recipe time

Well it's official...I am going to attempt to simulate TGI Friday's Al's Fish Tacos tomorrow evening... I will post the results and let you know how it turns out. Thanks for all the cool comments Brandon

Rubio's

My first experience with fish tacos was at a small place called Rubio's across the street from Horton Plaza in downtown San Diego. The smell caught my attention and I followed it to the restaurant. I had a couple of fish tacos and they were quite good. (What was funny about the whole thing is that same smell made my best friend gag. He wouldn't even consider trying them.) I don't know if they are prepared differently at other places, but the kind I had used shredded cabbage instead of lettuce and a soft corn tortilla instead of soft flour or crispy corn. Pico de gallo is also a popular topping. The problem most people have with fish tacos, at least in my experience, is the mental image. Whereas the fish used is like crumbling a breaded fish stick, the mental image many people have is someone putting a whole sardine in a taco shell. JOIN XOMBA IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO ADD!
