Nursing Home, Skilled Care, or Rehab - Do You Know the Difference?

After a recent fall down a flight of stairs, a family member ended up in ICU and then rehab. What I didn't realize was that the rehabilitation center was actually part of a nursing home system. The rehab was in one wing and the nursing home was in another. The one area is long-term stay, sometimes until the end of life, while the other is a temporary stay as a patient gains strength so they can go back to their home.
