NYC Half Marathon Boasts Impressive International Lineup

Some of the best runners in the world will be among the field of several thousand in this year's NYC Half Marathon. The race, which takes place in Central Park and the streets of Manhattan on July 27th, 2008, is set to include a number of runners who've qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Marathon, including Catherine Ndereba of Kenya, Benita Johnson of Australia, Hendrick Ramaala of South Africa, and Madaí Pérez of Mexico.

The NYC Half Marathon begins at 7 a.m. Sunday, and will be televised in the New York area on WABC Channel 7.

No, unfortunately I got shut out... the race filled up by the time I tried to enter. Probably just as well: the race started at 7 a.m. and I'm not that much of a morning person (not at that hour, anyway).
