O' Crystal Spring - Poem - by James Wood - Spiritual - Philosophical - Meditations

O' Crystal Spring

September 18th 2007 3am

I walked quietly by the crystal spring
Of peace and melodies it did sing
Songs of peace resonated in my soul,
Melodies of joy to make me whole.

The spring was so mighty
But only two miles long
But in its banks
It had many a song.

Bubbling new life as it came out of the ground
Then into growing was its next sound
Then into a wide stream that peacefully moved along
Where animals could drink and sing their songs

To sandy beaches where all could play
In the scorching heat of a summer’s day
But still the crystal stream, mighty and cold
Moved along gently... It was a song to behold.

The stream was so pure, it invited all to drink
To nurture our spirits, it tried to link
Great wisdom in this there was to behold
To all who would listen, to all who would take hold.

Then the cliffs pressed closer and tried to close it out
But it danced with mirth and gave joyful shouts
In tribulations and trials it did not waver
For purity and joy was of its flavor

Then the stream slowed down and was at peace within
It spread out its arms and opened them wide
For it knew why it was born
And how it would die

For the Stream had wisdom far beyond me to deliver
For the stream poured out its life
Into a muddied river.

As I watched the crystal stream
and thought it had died
My thoughts had deceived me
My thoughts had lied.

For the crystal spring
Actually brought life
It strengthened the muddied river
It brought nurture and not strife

It purified the river
And set it free
For the two became one
On its journey to the sea.

As I walked by the crystal stream
I was in reality, but as if a dream
It nurtured every flower and every bee
Then my Beloved Friend spoke unto me

From glaciers old and mountains wide
From eternity back my Love doeth reside
Saved for this day, as we walk side by side
From all others, its song I did hide.

Into your muddied heart my Love doeth flow
To give you inspiration in the way you should go
To show you an example of the way to be
To help inspire others, on their way to the sea.

As I sit by you, O Crystal Stream
My heart doeth rise into noble themes
Of God's great Love and His eternal dream
That pours itself out, into our muddied streams.
