Obama's First 100 Days: Success, Failure, or...Usurpation?

With all of the debate about whether or not Barack Obama's first 100 days were a success, failure, or otherwise, most people have failed to recognize one simple fact that renders all other arguments moot: Barack Obama is not the legitimate President of the United States.

There's a thing called the "Constitution" that proves his ineligibility and makes him an official usurper of the federal executive.

The supreme court dismissed it as crap, but nicer rationale

By any other name it smells, and the logic just doesn't work without the assumptions clearly and thoroughly --detailed. This is an outlier. It belongs there. I hate to give the thing a read.

well then you know my thoughts on it

Thanks for pointing that out. Re your last comment: We get The Daily Show here. My money would be on Jon Stewart. I found the article verged on the offensive - that would have been a better way of describing it than COMPLETE AND UTTER CRAP... but it lamented the end of torture for god's sake! I'd say live and let live at this point but there's no point saying that to some people (or America before Obama) as they take it as a sign of weakness and attack (or invade).

I read the article it linked to - that was utter crap

hating to add this but the "utter crap" comment was not against Publicus's articles (I haven't read them) but related to the article Publicus linked to and promoted - that was COMPLETE AND UTTER CRAP

Utter crap

I don't really know what utter crap is but I don't think I want to either (residual from an utter?). Anyway, I would say that Publius position is well stated and backed up with some pretty good information if your have read all his Rational Liberty posts - It makes for good debate. Basically his position is this (and I'm sure he'll tell us if it isn't) - Barack cannot be president because he is not a natural born citizen as defined by the US Constitution. What that means is that you cannot be a natural born citizen just because you were born on US soil or to US parents. He puts forth a lot of information that backs up that claim so to dismiss it with a wave of your hand and call it racist is bit naive. Problem lies in an interpretation of natural born citizen when blacks were given the right to vote, way back when. Publius arguement is that interpretation was wrong and cannot be applied to natural born citizenship as it applies to candiates for president. I find it very interesting. I in no way think that Barack will be put out of office because of it but I still think it is a valid point. I would love to see a Publius v Jon Stewart debate on this. Visit my homepage here

I won't apologise for saying that the opinion expressed here is:

utter crap. Perhaps I haven't the right to express this opinion - as I was naturally born outside the US, believe in jaw-jaw, pacifism, negotiation and have never worked to improve the lot of the poor (loads of them) in the US. I wouldn't want to be a citizen or apply to be a citizen in a country which executes anyone including 16 year olds with learning difficulties - but there you are. I'll add that Barack Obama's election brought about a miracle in the perception of America - before him it was easy to forget that there were/are a majority of decent, caring, peaceable persons there. America was the pycho bully in the playground - armed with guns, knives and all the money but not anymore. I'll not apologise for upsetting other such bullies either, I'll just hope they see reason one day... I'll leave it there - no more comments - not even to defend myself against the violent reactionary right wingers who will have to have their rascist say.
