Obama Student Loans

Will student loans be changing next year. Under the new Obama student loans proposal, all student loans would be taken over by the government and distributed by them. Is this the right direction for our country and our college bound students? Do we really want the United States government deciding who in our society gets loans and who doesn't get them?
