Obama vs. Clinton Debate

Obama vs. Clinton Debate

There is a lot of talk out there about the media being biased against Hillary Clinton. More to the point, if you caught most or all of the Cleveland debates, it was pretty obvious Tim Russert was "picking on" Senator Clinton. He was so argumentative and negative toward her, you would have thought she was being interviewed by Russert and Obama was occasionally interjecting. Russert point blank asked her to name Putin's successor--a very difficult name to pronounce. The question was obviously asked to make her look unintelligent, it was a completely unecessary question. He attacked her about the number of jobs lost in his home city of Buffalo. He asked Clinton about her feelings toward NAFTA. When she said she didn't support it, he refuted her statement with several quotes she'd given supporting NAFTA. Regardless of whether she said these things or not, the debates were between Obama and Clinton, not Russert and Clinton. I'm not only surprised by Russert's behavior but also by the refusal of the rest of the media to comment on it. Please understand, I am voting for Obama, no question about it, but it irks me to see a candidate treated unfairly--whether journalists are biased in their radio spots or tv shows is their business but to be so blatantly antagonistic in such a prominent forum is insulting to the American people.
