Well, isn't McDonald's just the world friendly entity?

After years of campaigning a British environmental group gets their day and the Mc Flurry cup lids have been redesigned.

McDonald's stated that after "significant research and testing" it has a new lid with a smaller opening.

Are you f-ing kidding me? It took years for you to make a lid with a smaller opening? What was the problem? The straw didn't fit? You couldn't figure out how to open it? You didn't think it was a problem?

Aha! You didn't think it was a problem, but after years of being Badgered (heh) you finally gave into the pressure to stop inadvertently killing hedgehogs and decided to reduce the size of the hole in the lid. Oh how magnanimous thou art oh king of fast food restaurants across the world...
