On Grandpa's Farm. By Jen Donier, August 15, 2005

On Grandpa's farm live cows, pigs and hens that cluck

on Grandpa's farm lives Daisy Duck.

Daisy lives down by the pond of the water's she's very fond

She leads her brood out in the water

greeting Mrs. Goose with her sun and daughter.

On Grandpa's farm lives Pansey Pig and she is very very big.

Little piglets, one, two, three, all look very cute to me.

Out in the meadow grazes Clara the cow

She know's it's time for milking now.

On Grandpa's farm six lambs at play

Skipping in the sunshine all through the day

Little Ginny burro won't be led

not until she has been fed.

Jack her mate hee-haw's with glee

When he get's a carrot from Ben and me.

Myrtle the cat chases a mouse

keeping them out of Grandma's house.

Royal Red the rooster a dandy cock

keeps an eye on the whole hen flock.

Migglety the speckled hen clucks to her

chickies in the pen

On Grandpa's farm live's Gertie the goat

She prefers to eat brush, not my coat.

Two little goat kids, caper in the sun

butting their heads just for fun.

On Grandpa's farm lives Clancy the horse

his favorite treat is sugar of course.

A mother rabbit with six little bunnies

twitching pink noses are really funny

Lad the watch dog is a loyal old friend

he likes to tag along with me and Ben.

All the turkeys love to eat corn

Especially the big one we named Lorne

Mazie the cow has a new calf

wobby legs make Ben and I laugh

Watching over the, Ewes and lambs

Is a big old sheep Curly the ram

Myrtle's four kittens asleep in the loft

their fur feels silky and soft.

Pierre the Peacock fans his tail

he is a very haughty male

Betsy the mare has a new foal

his shiney coat is black as coal

On Grandpa's farm we have great fun

Ben and I play all day in the sun.
