Eyes open wide in the dark

Fear touching my heart

Screams heard and unheard

Tearing my thoughts

Flames as they fall

Reaching unable to help

Watching death tumble from the sky

Surreal in it’s grayness

A thoughtless moment in time

Paused forever in my mind

Watching I pray

For lives unknown

Souls touched in pain

Jerked from life into death

By a world gone mad

Sanity gone in that moment

My world changed forever

Fear touching my heart

Terror found

Brought in flame

One black day
