Hello all, I am just wondering how many people feel the same way I do. It occurs to me there are a lot of people out there making great incomes,driving fancy cars and living the so called american dream. So why are so many people complaining about money and the economy? I feel times are a lot better now than just 10 years ago. I am not saying we dont need improvement, but if you read statistics there are more than 200 self made billionaires in the world and many more to come.I feel that all the people that are suffering from money problems createted most of them by over extending their credit and spending money they didn't have. Now these same people are loosing all they have and it is driving the economy down. I dont think the banks should take all the blame. I know they made it easier for people to take out 2nd mortgages and get financing but the person applying should know their ability to repay the money they borrow.Now these poor people are loosing their homes,cars and all they worked hard for. The only problem is now the rest of us suffer as well because the banks have written down so much money due to banckrupcies and defaults they can no longer write as many loans.I feel bad for these people but what about the people who now are already struggling to make ends meet but have been paying their bills and trying to get ahead, These people don't have a chance of getting a loan because now finnancial institutions cant afford to give out any more money until they recoup their loses.I dont feel the government should bail these people out either because now everyone has to suffer with lower returns on interest because the fed lowers the rates.I think that schools should impliment finanncial planning classes to all students at an early age. I also feel we need to focus on taking care of our own country instead of worrying about how foreign countries are doing. I love the fact we have free trade and free enterprise.I am first generation american. My father came from italy and so did all his family,They all survived and made very good lives for themselves and children. So how could non-american speaking people come to our country ,make a good living,support their families,not collect welfare,and succeed while american born citizens who have all the freedom and ability to succeed seem to never have enough? I will tell you why. Because we are a lazy society who have things handed to us easily. This is not to insult anyone, this should be a wake up call to everyone.
