Opium and the Taliban.

Opium and the Taliban.

I often wondered how the Taliban made money to keep them going. Apparently they are big into the drug trade, forcing Afgan farmers to grow Opium instead of normal crops. There have been reports stating the Taliban makes anywhere from $70 million up to $300 million a year. The U.N. is catching on and putting pressure on them to cut off their ability to purchase weapons and fund their everyday activities.
