A few years ago, my youngest child began "speaking" with the dead. She came to me and informed me that we had three ghosts living with us. Of course that is unsettling even for those very open minded among us.

 Here was my four year old daughter saying that we had ghosts. She began very slowly telling us about each one. The youngest spirit, just a child. Died at the age of 6. Her mother so heartbroken has stayed with her child even in death. Our young spirits name is Katie. Every time that my daughter tries to ask Katie how she died Katie stops talking to her for a few days. Katie has been with us the longest. She has moved along with us every time that we have moved.

 Our second spirit is Katie's mother. She tends to be the one that likes to play around with electronics. She only made her pressence known about two years ago. Since then she too continues to follow our moves. She doesn't seem to like to speak to anyone. She just goes around turning appliances on and off.  It can be quite unnerving to have radio's turn on and off by themselves.  Lately she has taken to turning the volume down on one of our televisions. She only turns it down and doesn't like it much when we turn it back up.

Our third spirit is the one that we have seen. He likes to scare the kids. He has appeared as nothing more than a head from time to time. Although I have not personnaly seen only a head. I have gotten to see him as a full body apparition. Just the other everning as we were sitting here at the computer playing a game, I just happened to turn and see him walking into my daughters bedroom.

We recently moved as I have written a few times. Since we have been here at our new place, we have learned from our youngest daughter that we now have a fourth spirit here. She doesn't seem to like this one. She says that it never lets her see if it is a male or female spirit. According to my daughter this one only shows itself to her as a big black mass. It is the one that she says has been scratching various members of the family. My oldest daughter will be sitting at her desk typing on the computer and notice her arm stinging. When she looks down there is a scratch mark. Sometimes more than one.  They seem to all dissappear within just a matter of an hour. Although there has been times when she has gotten three at once, and they stayed there for about a week.

The scratches don't seem to hurt her, but sting just a bit. They have never drawn blood. She gets them a couple of times a week. Not always on her arms, she has had them on her back as well. One evening the kids dad was in his bedroom and came out to show a scratch that he had just gotten.

I woke one day to a perfect cross scratched into my desk. It was rather unnerving.  Things just seem to keep getting more active.
