Pakistan are the new ICC Twenty20 World Champions. The last time runner up team beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets to win the World Twenty20 Final at Lord's. Sri Lanka reached 138-6 at the end of 20 overs which appeared to give themselves a fighting chance, however, Pakistan, scored the runs in 18.4 overs with eight wickets in hand. Shahid Afridi capped another fine all-round performance by making 54 not out from 40 balls to follow 1-20 with the ball.
