The title of a recently released CNN article is "Palin Steps Down As Alaska's Governor". Again this is rather bland but Palin always puts on a freak show of some kind.

The
first sentence is "Former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin gave
her final speech as Alaska's governor Sunday before stepping down from
her post, telling a Fairbanks crowd that she is resigning "to chart a new course to advance the state". Sarah Palin is completely inept. "...to chart a new course to advance the state?" What can she do? Absolutely nothing.

"Now people who know me, they know how much I love this state...I feel (that) it is my duty to avoid the UNPRODUCTIVE, typical politics-as-usual, lame-duck session in one's last year in office". Republicans still seem to be doing "politics-as-usual" and Palin has been a "lame duck" for a long time.

"With this decision, I will be able to fight even harder for you, for what is right and for the truth. And I have never felt you need a title to do that". Boy, now, Palin is sounding like former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, who said something like "Because I love this country, I feel that it is my duty to step aside...for the country and for the party", which is a sham. Romney was too selfish and Palin is even more so.

As
far as ethics reform is concerned, going back to her gubernatorial
campaign, Palin said "We promised it and now it is the law. Ironically it needs additional reform to stop blatant abuse from partisan operatives. I HOPE THAT LAWMKAERS WILL CONTINUE THAT REFORM". So why isn't Palin staying on to see this reform through? She has 'chickened out'.

"You
represent what could be and should be AN HONEST PROFESSION and what
could be and should be a cornerstone of our democracy and that's why
our troops are willing to die for you". Palin has officially gone insane.

"So how about IN HONOR OF THE AMERICAN SOLDIER, YOU QUIT MAKING THINGS UP?" Palin would not give any further details, which is a strong indication that SHE HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE.

"Hollywood needs to know - we eat, therefore we hunt". This reinforces the fact that Palin never should have entered politics.

As far as statistics are concerned, "A nationwide poll released Friday indicates that a majority of Americans (i.e. more than 50%) HAVE AN UNFAVORABLEVIEW of the outgoing governor" which isn't a shock. "But the ABC News/Washington Post poll also suggested that seven out of 10 (i.e. 70%) REPUBLICAN VOTERS MAINTAIN a positive opinion of Palin". How is this possible? Palin's daughter Bristol, had sex like an ape with Levi Johnston and conceived a baby out of wedlock and then got divorced! That kind of behavior surely isn't conservative. "Fifty-three percent of those questioned in the poll view Palin negatively with four in ten (i.e. 40%) holding a positive view of her. "Fifty-seven percent said they don't think Palin understands complex issues and 54 percent do not feel she is a strong leader". "view Palin negatively", "don't think Palin understands complex issues" and "do not feel she is a strong leader" are not very nice things to say about a potential presidential candidate. So voters are essentially saying: 'Palin's running for President? She's
going to be the most incompetent president in history if she is elected
and the biggest political joke for a long time to come'. We can only hope that Sean Parnell is better than a political freak show. It would be pretty hard to be as bad or worse than Palin.
