Palin's Popularity Begins To Falter - A Dead Cat Bounce?

It looks like Sarah Palin's popularity is starting to fade as the American public gets to know her better. In fact, it doesn't help when McCain's Victory 2008 chair Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, tells a St. Louis radio host that Palin would've been unqualified to lead HP--a slightly less demanding role than leading the free world. Today's exchange:

HOST: "Do you think she has the experience to run a major company like Hewlett Packard?"

FIORINA: "No, I don't. But that's not what she's running for."

Maybe her strong showing out of the gates was just the "dead cat bounce" of the Republican party's Presidential aspirations...

She is the subject of woefully low expectations

The bar for Sarah Palin is set so low that it would be crack Joe Biden in the shin if he tripped over it. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

Palin Held Her Own - Maybe Not Just A Dead Cat Bounce

Well Governor Palin performed much better in the Vice Presidential Debate than I had anticipated. She has obviously benefited from some much needed coaching since the disastrous Katie Couric interview...

Carly Fiorina

A more basic question: Does Carly Fiorina have the qualifications to lead a major company? She was forced out as head of HP after she pushed through the highly controversial merger with Compaq... a merger that generated such opposition that even one of HP's founders took out a full-page ad in the NY Times to voice his opposition to the deal.

Style over Substance

She isn't qualified to lead the country and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson would have been a better choice for McCain, if his putting a woman on the ticket was because he was concerned with picking the best candidate as Vice President and not trying to pander to a certain segment of the population with specific reproductive equipment. The last straw for Palin was the disastrous ABC Good Morning America interview she just gave. It showed her uninformed on the issues and looking like she was in way over her head. Not exactly a vote of confidence considering McCain's health and likelihood that she would be finishing out his first term. Is it any wonder the McCain campaign has been running negative since Day 1? There are few issues--true issues--where McCain can beat Obama head-to-head. I'm not saying that Obama is the best choice, but he is the better of the two. I'm still going Third Party on this one.
