Paranormal Activity not a true story as indicated at end of film

I purchased the movie paranormal activity over the weekend and sat anxiously awaiting it to begin. I had my hot wings and my popcorn. I found the first 15 minutes of the movie to be really tiresome and uneventful, once the couple begin to experience the strange happening in the home the film picked up and I was quite pleased. At the end of the movie it stated that the footage was actually returned to the family so that the experiences could be shared. This is all I can tell you without giving away the movie. I just discover the movie was nothing but another Blair Witch, completely fabricated and only made to look as if if was an actual taped event. My critic of the movie. Excellent had it been true, not so great for fiction. Some may say if it was an excellet movie then it was an excellent movie. Its really not that cut and dry when criticing Paranormal Experience.
