Pay for shopping bags?

Pay for shopping bags?

IKEA, the Swedish furniture company, will now be charging customers 5 cents per plastic shopping bag that they use. Sure, 5 cents is cheap but I mean...I have never paid for a shopping bag in my life thus far. Paying for a plastic bag to carry my stuff away in seems a bit weird... and besides, if this trend catches on, it could run a person into some money. I mean come on, I paid enough for the stuff I bought, now, can't the store swing the plastic bag??

For real!

I know, but it sure makes things a little less convenient! ~Carrie-Ann~

Okay

This makes me wonder if I should be keeping the bags I have, instead of putting them in the recycling bin. I may have to recycle more on my own, before sending off all these shopping bags to recycle "heaven".
